- Vegetables: 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups), 2 cloves garlic, minced, 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- Sauce: 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 125 ml (½ cup) beef or chicken broth, 1 tsp sesame oil
- For Stir-Frying: 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 spring onions, sliced (for garnish), Toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1:
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and sherry (if using) Toss to coat and marinate for 10 minutes

- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 3 minutes until just tender-crisp Add a splash of water if needed Remove broccoli to a plate
- Step 4:
- Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to the wok Add marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2 3 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally
- Step 5:
- Add garlic and ginger, stir-frying for 30 seconds until fragrant
- Step 6:
- Return broccoli to the wok Pour in the sauce and stir well Cook for 2 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is evenly coated
- Step 7:
- Serve immediately, garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds if desired
