02 - 1/2 cup rolled oats
03 - 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
04 - 2 tbsp almond flour or whole wheat flour
05 - 2 tbsp light brown sugar or coconut sugar
06 - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
07 - 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
08 - Pinch of salt
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

11 - 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries

# Directions:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
02 - Wash and core each apple, ensuring the base remains intact to hold the filling.
03 - In a mixing bowl, blend rolled oats, chopped nuts, almond or wheat flour, brown or coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt thoroughly.
04 - Incorporate melted butter and applesauce into dry ingredients; stir until evenly moistened.
05 - Fold in raisins or dried cranberries if using.
06 - Arrange apples upright in a baking dish; fill cavities generously with the oat-nut crumble.
07 - Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of water at the bottom of the dish to prevent sticking and cover loosely with foil.
08 - Bake covered for 20 minutes to soften apples and begin cooking the topping.
09 - Remove foil and continue baking for 15 minutes, until apples are tender and crumble is golden brown.
10 - Present warm, optionally accompanied by plain or Greek yogurt.
