01 - 1 wheel (8 oz) Brie cheese
02 - 1 egg, beaten

03 - 3 tablespoons fig jam
→ Pastry
04 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
→ Garnish (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
07 - Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place the thawed puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet and set the Brie wheel in the center.
03 - Spread fig jam evenly over the top surface of the Brie cheese.
04 - Sprinkle chopped toasted nuts and fresh thyme leaves over the fig jam, if using.
05 - Fold the pastry up and over the Brie, pleating to fully enclose it, then pinch seams to seal.
06 - Brush the exterior of the sealed pastry with the beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown.
08 - Allow to rest for 10 minutes before transferring to a serving platter; serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
