Zusatztipps für die Zubereitung

When selecting avocados, look for ones that yield slightly to gentle pressure but aren't too soft. This ensures they'll be ripe enough to enjoy while still firm enough to hold their shape when filled. For the tuna, oil-packed varieties work best in this recipe as they maintain moisture and flavor, but you can substitute water-packed tuna if you prefer less fat - just add a bit more olive oil to compensate.

Varianten und Anpassungen

This versatile recipe welcomes personalization. For a dairy-free version, simply omit the feta cheese or replace it with a dairy-free alternative. If you're not a fan of tuna, try using canned salmon for an equally delicious omega-3 rich option, or substitute chopped grilled chicken for a different protein source. Vegetarians might enjoy this dish with chickpeas or white beans in place of the fish.

Serviervorschläge

These stuffed avocados make a complete light meal on their own, but they pair beautifully with a side of mixed greens dressed simply with lemon and olive oil. For a more substantial meal, serve alongside whole grain crackers or a slice of crusty bread. For beverage pairings, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or light rosé complements the Mediterranean flavors perfectly. For a non-alcoholic option, sparkling water with a splash of citrus makes a refreshing accompaniment.
